Registration is Now Open For the 2019 Human Resource Professional in Agriculture (HRPA) Certificate Program

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2019 Human Resource Professional in Agriculture (HRPA) Certificate Program. We invite all HR professionals, and particularly those working in agriculture, to participate in the program and stay current on important issues ranging from legal compliance to employee relations. The program has a unique focus on agriculture and incorporates a wide range of topics that will help HR professionals advance to the next level. It was developed and is now being presented by leading professionals and consultants in the agricultural field.

The program is designed for working adults, with classes scheduled strategically to minimize disruption to your work – eight core courses are required for the program certificate and designation, along with one elective course and may be completed in any sequence. Classes can be taken individually or as part of a curriculum leading to a certificate and designation. Graduates of this program can use the prestigious HRPA designation.

All sessions will be held at California Fresh Fruit Association’s conference rooms located at 7647 North Fresno Street, Suite 103, Fresno, California 93720. The time for all sessions is 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with lunch provided onsite from noon to 12:30 p.m.). A program registration form can be accessed here and a complete list of courses and dates can be accessed here.

As part of the core program, attorney Patrick Moody will be presenting an “Introduction to Labor and Employment Law” on April 2, 2019. This course provides an overview of the California and federal labor and employment laws affecting agriculture, including wage and hour, harassment and discrimination, farm labor contractor regulation, union organizing, and mandatory leaves of absences.
